The Beta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated is located in Petersburg, Virginia and was chartered in the year of 1950.

There have been multiple successful programs implemented by the Beta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter that have had great impacts upon the Petersburg community.
Currently, the Beta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter is a strong, vibrant and growing chapter with members of different community, social backgrounds, college experiences and educations, as well as various professional careers.
Along with the national sorority-endorsed projects and multiple local endeavors and service projects, the Beta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter advises the local undergraduate chapters, the Alpha Zeta Chapter of Virginia State University and Omicron Omicron Chapter of Longwood University, both of which are comprised of strong, educated, dedicated and hard-working young women who have a passion to serve and a desire to succeed. The Beta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Petersburg, Virginia continues to remain a beacon of sisterhood, driven towards scholarship, and constantly performing acts of service within the community.
Most recently in 2016, our chapter, Sorors, Philos and Rhoers and Rhosebuds have continued our award winning tradition within the sorority. In 2015, the Beta Xi Sigma Chapter was the recipient of the Mary Lou Allison Little Loving Cup Award at the 73rd Northeastern Regional Conference for our outstanding accomplishments during the 2014 - 2015 Sorority Year.
For the bold, blutiful, and blessed ladies of the Beta Xi Sigma chapter Sisterhood, Scholarship, and Service is nothing short of a passion and dedication to the communities in and around Petersburg.
